Privacy

• Account — your name, email, and a securely hashed password.
• Invite requests — the name, email, and optional note you submit on the request form, plus your IP address (stored to help prevent abuse).
• Your CV & career profile — the CVs you upload and the experience, evidence, and private notes you add. This is your content; it stays tied to your account.

We use your information to provide the product: parsing your CV, tailoring it to roles, auditing it, and checking each claim against your profile. Your CV and profile content are processed to power these AI features (see below). We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

To power its AI features, CV Flair sends the relevant CV and profile text to OpenAI, which processes it to generate edits, audits, and grounding results. Your data is stored in MongoDB and served through our hosting provider. We share your content with these processors only as needed to run the product.

Notes you mark as private are used only as background context to guide the AI — they aren’t meant to appear on your CV, and the system is instructed to draw on their substance without copying their wording. Like the rest of your profile, they’re visible only to your account.

We use a single signed cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

You can view and edit your profile at any time. To request a copy of your data or have your account and data deleted, email us at privacy@cvflair.com — we handle these by hand during the beta, so please allow a few business days.
