Security & data

Last updated June 21, 2026

Your CV and career history are sensitive, so we treat them that way. Here’s how we protect your data, what we do — and don’t do — with it, and an honest note on the limits while we’re in beta.

CV Flair is an experimental beta. We take protecting your data seriously, but we can’t offer guarantees yet.

Please don’t upload anything you couldn’t afford to have go wrong, and keep your own copy of important documents. Use at your own risk.

Your data is scoped to you

Your uploaded CVs, profile, evidence, and notes are tied to your account and visible only to you. We don’t make your content public, and access to it is limited to what’s needed to run the product and support you.

In transit and where it's stored

The app is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your content is stored with established infrastructure providers (our database is hosted on MongoDB), and we keep you signed in with a single, signed session cookie — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

AI processing

To power features like parsing, tailoring, auditing, and grounding, we send the relevant CV and profile text to our AI provider (OpenAI) to process your request and return a result. We don’t use your content to advertise to you, and we don’t sell it.

Analytics, kept anonymous

We look at aggregated, anonymized usage — which features get used and where errors happen — purely to improve the product. We don’t gather data beyond what’s needed to run CV Flair and this anonymized product analytics, and we don’t track you across other websites.

What we don't do

  • We don’t sell your data or share it with data brokers.
  • We don’t show ads or run ad-tracking pixels.
  • We don’t track you across the web.
  • We don’t share your content except with the processors needed to run the service.

Your control

You can view and edit your profile any time. To request a copy of your data, or to have your account and data deleted, email privacy@cvflair.com — we handle these by hand during the beta. Full detail lives on our Privacy page.
